The reason for that has to do with your interpretation of Shadowman and his past. If you listen closely to the lyrics, they really seem to fit:
I know I won't look behind. I see no regrets
This has to do with Shadow's past and his ties to the Stardroids. He was "born" one of theirs and believes that he's destined to serve them. Yet at the same time, he's uncertain if this is what he truly wants.
No guiding light so dark. Are you my light?
This deals with the other RMs of the third line-up and the "new family" that Shadow was brought into. He is skeptical of them, but the Gen 3 RMs really care for him and want him to be a part of their family. To be his new brothers.
But now I am here, and you're close to me. My heart is with you, forever... And ever
Symbolizes Shadowman finally realizing how important his new brothers are and how much they really mean to him. So much so that he finally decides to accept them as his new family and is finally able to leave his old life with the Stardroids behind him.

...Mm, maybe. But when I was listening to that song looking at this image and thinking back to that other picture you did of Shadow and Terra fighting against each other, it just sounded so fitting.
