Ya all know that reef sharks are my favorite species~ But now I'm going to tell you why.
This is actually the first shark that caught my eye and inspired me to make the comic. The gracefull and strong form of this shark is beautifull. They are not actually grey. They are dark-grey-brownish. But because of the light underwater, it looks blue-grey. Their top speed is 40 klm an hour. They have 2000 pounds of bite force and are almost always in a group/pack/school. They also one of the few sharks who can get really close to humans. Divers have never gotten this close to a shark before. Many reef sharks only circle around these divers waiting for their snack tocome up on a stick. The sharks know that the food hiden in the box is more important than the divers. The divers are mostly outnumbered by a whole ton of reef sharks. But out of all the things these can do to them, they don't. This shark is also huggeble and not dangerous to humans. There are millions of people swimming in shark hunting areas and very few people are bitten. Not all sharks are perfect and their senses may not always work, so they will mistake a human for a fish.
Above all, these sharks are very close to humans and we learn more everytime we visit their world.
Reef shark, I love you.
