A sneak peek of Nerofire's life when he was battling for his freedom. Short story coming up:

The skies were painted with trails of white smoke and filled with sounds of explosions as the brave fighter jets fought agains the rebels. Nerofire, who wasthe colonel, was having a hard time defeating these jets. even though he was an elite, he was outnumbered and most of his allys were taken down. One by one, he shot down a hostile plane. Some explosions were so intense, that the oil from the downed fighter covered Nerofire's face. He was low on fuel, but refused to turn back. As he watched his men falling around him, the clouds moved away a bit, allowing the bright light of the full moon the peek through. Suddenly, he spotted the leader of the coup. It was a Tornado Gr.4 plane. Out of nowhere, he shot a missile at the colonel. damaging one of his engigns. He let out a short scream as a result of the impact. "Face it Nero. You can't beat me with such a pitifull squadron." He teased. Nerofire was struggling to stay in the air and growled lightly. Glaring at his oponent with anger in his eyes. "Don't think you've won this!" He claimed. The Tornado Gr.4, known as Assalin, chuckled lightly and icreased his speed. Aiming at another fighter who flew not far away from him. "Oh, we'll see." He said. Then, he fired a missile at the fighter. Nerofire screamed, "NOOO!" As the plane fell down towards the earth. He started to pant softly and didn't know what to say. Because the downed Jet....happened to be his wife... Looking enraged at Assalin, who grined evily at the raptor, Nero was loosing trust and decided to return to base. The evil jet who killed his love completed his mission and flew back home along with his squadron. Watching the coup leave his teratori, his eyes started to fill with tears and he roared: 'NOOOOOOOO!!!"
