I DON'T WANT TO COME OFF LIKE AN OBNOXIOUS PERSON WHEN SAYING THIS.

Ok, I know about Spyro, but I only own the game: Dawn of the dragon. I've got to say, the gameplay is a lot of fun and the first story: A new beginning has very good writting. When the eternal night came, the writting became a little bad and when Dawn of the dragon arrived...I suddenly noticed a lot of flaws.

Anyways, Spyro became very popular and for some weird reason every fangirl will compare another dragon who looks like him. So...what if these idiots will compare Laya to the purple dragon? I've got a lot of ground to cover but I'll try to make it quick.

LAYA AND SPYRO - LOOKS

So, if anyone is going to say: LAYA IS AN ELEMENTAL DRAGON! SPYRO RIP OFF!
No. Open your eyes idiot. Spyro is purple, Laya is orange, with red and black markings. She's just as big as Ignitus.

If you're comparing their backstory, then take a closer look:

Spyro is the purple dragon who only gets born once every 10 generations. He can breathe 4 different elements and has amazing skills. He has to stop the dark master who happens to be a purple dragon.

Laya is a SPIRIT! So how did she become mortal? Well, there are not a lot of dragons in her world. There is this violet colored dragon who only gets born every ERA. And lives up to a hundred years or more. These dragons are heavily conected to the spirit crystals and havea strong sense of wisdom. When a few planets lined up with the earth, it created an opertunity for the violet dragon to make a spell and speak to one of the spirits who controll the good and bad side of the elements. But there was a dark sparkle breaking through the magic andit created a short war between the spirits. Somehow, Laya ( yang symbol of fire ) was thrown out of the circle and landed on the earth. Her Spirit found a way to become mortal. When she was born, she lived a good 17 years. ( because she dies in the end ) Her skills and the way she uses her fire power was unique. Soon she became an alpha of her own dragon clan.

Similar? Ithink NOT. Moving on...

PLOT

Let;s take a look at the story. Spyro's story consists out of 3 parts. Laya, only has 2.

Part 1 of Spyro:

He meets Ignitus, discovers his powers and new abilities, saves the guardians, fights Cynder and returns to the temple.

Part 2:

He gets dreams where he regains his powers and leaves the elders. He meets up with Cynder who gets kipnapped, meets the cronicler, fights Gaul withhis dark form and freezes himself along withhis friends in order to survive.

Final part: Spyro and Cynder are conected with a magical chain and defeat the dark master.

Laya?

Part 1: Laya comes across a fire dragon who wants to kill her and the clan. When she defeats him it appears that he was possesed by a dark spell. He explains to her that the Yang spirit of the Yin and Yang balance have been seperated. They both have transformed themselves into dragon since they don't have a form. The Yang spirit wants to conquer the world. So he makes minions and puts a dark spell on the strongest elemental dragons who guard different parts of their land. He also explains to her that she is the yang symbol of fir. ( dark side of fire ) then,her adventure begins. She has to travel the world and nutrulize the dragons. In what order? Fire, earth, ice, wind and electricity.

Part 2: Laya is now on the other side of the world where she's learnig more skills from her fire dragon Mentor. ( sitll don't know a name for him ) after that, she gets a vision and hears a voice in her head, telling her to venture towards a crystal cave in the high mountains. She goes there with her mentor, touches the crystals, a bright lights appears and then Gynaro apears. He insists on helping her and bring back balance to the world. Now, they need to nutrulize two more dragons. The ocean dragon and the Yang dragon. When they passed the water dragon, thy venture off into a huge cave whre all sorts of crystals grow. There, the violet dragon who has caused this explains that the yin and yang spirits can only go back to normal with 2 spirit crystals and cause a spell on the two. Then, they see that dark clouds pull a piece of a mountain up into the sky. The dragon tells them that this mountain is being pulled up by th yang spirit. He gives them two spirit crystals and they leave. It's also a long flgith sinc ethe mountain reaches a hight of th edge of space. They encounter the yang dragon who is very big. ( 3 times bigger than Laya ) and begins smack talking. Then, he takes controll of Laya. She gets into her fury mode, but her ski color is suddenly darker. Gynaro does not want to fight her ad gets smacked by her. Then, the yin dragon appears, puts Gynaro into his fury mode and convinces him to fight back in order to get her back. A fight follows where they chase the black dragon. They win the fight, and manage to put the two together; creating the huge yin and yang symbol circeling infront of them. But as they look down, it appears that the fire element is out of controll since it doesn't have any duiance from their spirits. When Laya and Gynaro left the earth, fire lost sight of them. Chaos is everywhere but Laya wants to go back in order to save the earth. Gynaro convinces her that th only way to stop this is to die. Laya begins to hesitate a little. As much as this is the only way to save the earth, she is bound to it. He rlove for the earth is greater than he rlove for anything else. Eventually, she decides to die, but lets her necklace fall towards the eart; leaving this as a memory behind. They use another spell with the spirit crystals and go back to their origonal form. The earth heals and a few weeks later, everything is at peace. Laya's fire mentor finds the necklaze she dropped and puts it on the holy shrine where all the elemental spirits are painted on the wall.

Is this anything like Spyro? If you're going to compare Spyro's and Cynder's sacrifice to Laya's and Gynaro's, then you're WRONG. I never get what happned to them, but they're still alive. Like th cronicler said: Every time a dragon dies, a new page is written in this book. But I can't find ANY trace of Spyro." Meaning that he is still alive. I don't know how, but he's still alive.

Laya and Gynaro DIED! Going back to their origen. The elemental dragons in Laya's world don't really play a big role. As a supportive cast that is. In Spyro, they are characters who play a big role. Teaching Spyro how to us ehis elements.

And if you think that the cronicler is similar to the violet dragon named Saigus, then think again.

The only thing theyr serve in both stories, is that they're WORTHLESS. The cronicles only helps Spyro getting his powers back and telling stories, and Saigus only gives two spirit crystals!

There is no black dragon who's corrupted by evil powers like in Spyro. Nope. Only elemental dragons who are under a dark spell.

So...THIS ISN'T A RIP OFF. And I'm going to make thi game. I only have to wait, until that day comes.
