Today, it has been en entire year since my dearest Lina the dachshund passed away...

I still vividly remember when I first saw her, her first day home...and her last.

Lina was truely special. All she knew was love. She loved everyone, and you couldn't escape without receiving a kiss. She loved food, even in her senior years, she was a beast. She was a mother too; all females, with the only male sadly passing away 3 days later.

Her firstborn Saffy, was the one we kept; and they were an iconic, unstopable duo. Lina and Saffy gave me the best and happiest years of my life, and I will never feel such brightness in my heart ever again.

When I had to feel Lina dying in my arms, another part of me died... And when we burried her, I was lost. I only felt pain and sadness, and was convinced I would never be happy again.

Even now, I still cry. And this pain will never go away.

However, by some incredible miracle, I was able to start a new. On March 23, before my birthday of this year, we brought our new light into our lives: Eddy.

We still want to find her friend, Luna, but we will get her home.

Even though I love Eddy, I could never love another dog again like I did with Lina and Saffy.

I love you Lina. You were the best and brightest part of my life.

Hey guys, I'm here to tell ya another change when it comes to my art.

If some of you didn't know already, 3 weeks ago, me and my mom went to get our new Dachshund puppy, Eddy. She is adorable and fiesty, and I love her.

Despite my love for her, and me facing new frontiers in my life, I did realize that I would never love other dogs the same way I did with Lina and Saffy ever again. They were truly special...

However, since I now have to take care of her, find the second dachshund puppy we're going to get ( her name will be Luna ) work on Aquantis, Aquantis Chronicles AND Caribbean Odessey, I have to change a few things to save mountains of stress.

From now on, Caribbean Odessey will only be 1 page per day. 2 pages daily is just too much now. 1 week requires 14 pages and I can't keep up. Aquantis will remain unchanged, but my subscribers can expect delays because of this. Heck, I haven't even been able to draw downloadable posters in a looong time.

But view this as a positive for Caribbean Odeseey, guys. Not only will this change make the experience last longer, I'll finally have time to make more drawings based on the characters like I did when Halloween came.

I already have a few ideas, but do you guys also know some fun ideas I can get inspiration from? Like, stuff that their species encounters that I don't know about? A specific prey they hunt? Or even more ideas for crossovers with Jack? Non-canon intereactions you'd like to see? ( I can't promise I'll make all of them a reality, since I still want to stick to my own ideas and style a bit )

But let me know what ya'll would like to see, since this change will allow me to do that. Let's enjoy it, guys, after chapter 4, 2 are left. So let's enjoy it!

So, my birthday is almost here! And I don't really care all that much to be honest.

Like I've said before, I don't believe in age anymore. To me, age is a concept made by humans to remember things better.

However, I do apreceate the birthday wishes.

There's also an important thing I'd like to tell you.

I've said that Caribbean Odessey will debut on my birthday, March 24. But I'm going to make some changes when it comes to uploading the pages. I think that for the first 2 weeks, I'll have to upload 1 page a day instead of 2.

So many things got in the way of preparing Chapter 4, including me trying to get more pages done of Aquantis. 1 week requires 14 pages to be done, and I can't keep up with that right now. There are 3 reasons.

1. Stress. Don't worry, I am enjoying making this story SO much. But I need to breathe more.

2. I want to make this story last as long as possible. Remember, there are 6 Chapters in total, and Chapter 4 is around the corner. Let's make this experience last ( so I can also draw some pictures of the gang just being awesome, like those from Halloween )

And 3...well, I won't have much time on my hands anymore because...

Guys, we found our Eddy.

We found our new dachshund puppy. And we're going to bring her home tomorrow.

So from now on, I need to take it easy. Or, easier. She needs a lot of attention, and that's why these changes are happening. This also means that my subscribers are gonna have to expect more delays.

Also, in honor of Eddys' arrival and my birthday, ya'll are getting 4 Aquantis pages on Monday!

I gotta admit, I never thought I would be writing anf illustrating an Ecco fanfiction that's 6 Chapters long.

But the journey is only beginning!

Chapter 3 will beging next week, I will post 2 pages, because that's how I start and end every chapter.

So, when will it be availible on Amazon? Hopefully at the end of this week, or next week. I need to get some pages done of Aquantis Chronicles, The Elites before I can finish the exclusive drawings for the physical copy of Chapter 2.

I figured it out, guys! I finally managed to upload the paperback version. If you remember my last post, the system repeatedly failed to upload my manuscript. I've tried every single day and was met with disappointment and rage.

But this was the reason why it didn't work.

The file was too big.

And it baffles me.

To give you some technical details, the pages are submitted in Adobe InDesign, a program to prepare the layout of the book. When it is done, I save it as a PDF, with high-quality printing. Chapter 3 was 402 MB.

Amazons guidelines say that files larger than 650, can not be uploaded. I was worried about the MB of the Volumes I want to make, then check the file of Caribbean Odessey Volume 1 and it's 277 MB. Huh???

Chapter 3 is 132 in total, so how can that have more MB then the Volume???

Anyway, I suddenly got the idea that I needed to comprimise the file. At first I wanted to see how it looked like at 10 MB, and it looked like shit. The PDF that has been uploaded has an ppi of 250, not 300, but the dipp in quality is not noticable, I assure you.

I have no idea why the Hardcover file of 402MB was able to make it, but the Paperback didn't.
